Tom Hodgson
Tom was a Distraint Officer for the Inland Revenue for 10 years calling on debtors and businesses as well as presenting cases in Court. In that time he was secondment to the Regional Training Team then moved on to enforcing the National Minimum Wage. Tom was a qualified bailiff and also holds further education and NVQ teaching qualifications. In a varied career he has worked for various colleges as a visiting lecturer, worked with disadvantaged young adults, also for an Insolvency Practice drawing up IVAs. For some years he worked in mental health and is the Chair of a mental health charity supporting service users. Tom now works full time for Philips Training Academy and has delivered training to Philips staff on different aspects of debt recovery as well as writing material for the Philips unique City & Guilds Bailiff Diploma.
