PHILIPS LAUNCHES HOMECOLL NATIONAL DOORSTEP COLLECTIONS

14 November 2008

Philips has launched a bold new initiative in the market with Homecoll National Doorstep Collections.   The service was formally launched at a press and customer event on the “Golden Jubilee”, Thames party boat, on 13th November this year.

Guests enjoyed a mix of corporate hospitality, entertainment and business networking to celebrate the entry of the company into a market Philips considers is overdue for a change.

Leading the programme was Tony Slome, Group Sales Director, who has joined forces with Philips CEO Nick Bradley to bring decades of relevant experience to the business. Tony started his career with Merrill Lynch as a commodity broker, rising to Vice President of UK sales before taking up a senior role in the debt recovery business.

He now brings 16 years of sales and marketing expertise in both the consumer and commercial debt recovery sector acquired with blue-chips such as FCA (UK) Ltd, Equifax/CCI and Commercial Credit Services Group to Homecoll.

Tony believes that the market place is ready for a more efficient, responsive and technology driven alternative and that positioning is critical to Homecolls philosophy.   “We aim to raise the bar in terms of UK standards in private sector debt recovery”,  he says, “utilising the depth and quality of technology that has made Philips a market leader in the public sector.

Among the benefits we’ll be offering to clients are a transparent open book policy, advanced reporting, customised recovery sequences, online access to all clients and our in-house UK call centre which will handle both inbound and outbound call-traffic”.
