FIRST CIVIL ENFORCEMENT AWARDS PRAISED BY HEADLINE SPONSOR PHILIPS

25 October 2008

London’s prestigious Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square was the venue for the first ever Civil Enforcement Awards recently, and headline sponsor Philips Collection Services enjoyed a highly successful event.

Philips is now established as the largest privately owned revenue recovery and enforcement company in the UK, providing services to both the public and private sectors. As a leading organisation in the market place, the company was a natural choice as a partner in the awards with Civil Enforcement News (in association with the British Parking Association).

As headline partner, Philips Collection Services’ sponsorship specifically covered the Gold Award, the entry judged as supreme from all the category prize winners which included some major participants, such as Transport for London, APCOA, Liverpool Direct Ltd and Barbour Logic.

At the culmination of a nerve-wracking wait for the participants it was the name of Barbour Logic that Master of Ceremonies Dermot Murnaghan announced as the winner of the inaugural Gold Award. Barbour Logic had already won the Innovation Award earlier in the evening, so it was a night of double triumph for company Director Jason Barbour and his team.

"We’re absolutely delighted to have secured the Gold Award,"  said Barbour.  "We were always confident about the quality of our entry as Response Master is a unique innovation that’s new to the civil enforcement sector. We feel the product does truly deserve the recognition it has received but this award is also a great tribute to our team."

Philips was happy to be associated with the awards, which formed the heart of a thoroughly enjoyable black-tie dinner, complete with entertainment from  ‘Siren’ , all-girl electric string quartet. The enforcement community certainly knows how to enjoy itself and for Philips Collection Services, founded by Nick Bradley, it marked a particular high spot in a year which has seen dramatic strides forward for the company.
