PHILIPS AWARDED CONTRACT WITH CONGLETON BC

18 November 2008

Philips Collection Services, the largest privately owned revenue recovery enforcement company in the UK is now working with Congleton Borough Council in a move to improve their housing benefit overpayment recovery rate.

The contract was awarded on the criteria of Best Practice, an area that, Philips CEO, Nick Bradley explains is very high on the priority list. "We constantly strive to achieve the best results for our clients, that involves using a highly qualified team of professionals that are dedicated to providing excellent customer service and achieving first-rate results".

Outsourcing this area of overpayment recovery will increase in-house efficiency as well as providing a cost effective alternative to recruiting additional staff.

Faster caseload processing and improved debt recovery performance also mean that Congleton BC can now direct resources into other areas, enabling greater efficiency of team resources.

Martin Simpson, Principle Benefits Officer, said "we have been very satisfied with the service we have received from Philips, we have recommended them to other authorities and we look forward to continuing working with them."
