Philips win CIPD award for Best Practice

Philips has won a prestigious award from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
The award was presented to Chris Stewart, Head of Philips Training Academy on the 9th of November.
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has over 130,000 members and is the leading professional institute for those involved in the management and development of people.
The best practice award, goes to an organisation working in the area that has demonstrated best practice in Human Resources Management and Development.
The independent judging panel were very impressed with Philips submission and commented;‘It was an excellent application. The company has developed the first industry specific qualifications and have had them accredited. Philips has developed a clear vision on how the Academy will support the aims of their entire business. The development of courses from scratch, the accreditation of some courses and the willingness to open up courses to other companies in the same industry is very positive.
